Today, we celebrate our 122nd year of Independence as the Republic of the Philippines.
Coincidentally, this is also our 499th year as a nation since Magellan discovered our islands.
We are a melting pot of cultures with many tribes and tongues, but, are one people.
Let us celebrate our nation as one.
